Regardless of the outcome, this nomination affirms my commitment to my business ethos ‘to be undeniably good.’ It reflects my mission to raise the standard of excellence in the virtual assistant industry while empowering both entrepreneurs and serviced-based professionals.

When I founded Calibre Virtual Assistant Services, I did so with a clear vision in mind: to redefine what it means to be a virtual assistant and to support visionary business owners in a way that truly moves the needle for them. I’ve observed firsthand how so many visionary entrepreneurs have been let down by underqualified virtual assistants - it’s no surprise that it shakes their confidence and makes them hesitant to outsource again. Their struggles sparked a fire in me to change that narrative. I set out to elevate the industry standard by offering a high-quality, dependable service for those who challenge the traditional ways of building businesses.

Why remote work is an opportunity, not a compromise
For me, remote work is not a compromise, it is an incredible opportunity. It eliminates traditional boundaries that limit access to remarkable talent, and in doing so, opens doors for highly skilled professionals who may not fit into the rigid structure of a traditional office environment. These individuals might face unique challenges such as family responsibilities, health, or a desire for more flexibility, and the typical ‘9-5’ doesn’t quite cut it.
They deserve an opportunity to showcase their expertise and thrive in their careers, just as much as anyone else. At Calibre, I am committed to provide my highly skilled team with meaningful work that values their skills and contributions because quality is at the core of everything we do, and that quality starts with the services we offer. I am incredibly grateful to be part of a community of strong, ambitious, and inspiring women who are shaping the future of business. With International Women’s Day approaching on Saturday 8th March, it is the perfect time to reflect on how far women have come in business and leadership, and how much more we can achieve. This year’s theme ‘Accelerate Action’ is a powerful reminder in addressing the systemic barriers women still face for gender equality.
Thank you to Woman Who for recognising and championing women-led initiatives that are making a real difference, it is a privilege to be counted among such remarkable women.
